Had a lovely walk up to Bog Inn. Its a Hut built in the 1960’s  in the Ruapaehu District. It was meant to be a short drive and walk, but as we soon discovered it took us about 4 hours there and back, by the time we drove in and walked up to it .The track was good, came across a few bog holes which we crossed ok, although my son Jacob stepped in one and got a muddy leg, but I think he enjoyed that. The Hut was very classic and it made me feel  like staying a night. In the visitors log there was a lot said about how wet and cold it is. I guess this place would get pretty wet at times.

It was very enjoyable, the weather was really good, and with discovered these beautiful blue toadstools along the way.
