Hello, Christmas greetings! I know its a bit early but its getting pretty close now. Most of us will be gearing up for Christmas and the holidays. I usually love to hang out at the beach, but this year Im no where near a beach, Im close to a lake though which is great for swimming, the water is crystal clear, theres a bit of beach too and the water can be pretty cold, fun times!

Ive been busy with a new series ‘Around the River’, seen as I live close to the Tongariro River it has given me some great inspiration. So Ive had quite a few days of packing up my paint box and paints to paint on location, pleinair. It so much fun painting outdoors, you get to really experience everything thats going on around you and quite often something unexpected comes along to give you more ideas for your artwork, like someone canoeing the river or fisherman. The light changes a lot too so that can be a challenge.
