Hello everyone, Spring is going by very fast, I had all these plans to do more outdoor painting but instead Ive been working on my new calendar and had a few exhibitions to do. But theres still time I think, to get out and get more photos and paintings done. Theres so much colour around, spring flowers and grasses, its looking very green here at the moment. ART TIPS
Lots of colour! the large mountain landscape is inspired by the mountain ranges here, Ive painted all these subjects a lot and this has helped me to paint it mostly by memory now, the more you paint a subject the more you can access your memory and this help you to free yourself up, use you imagination more and play with colour. I always use an undercoat of acrylic to start with, once thats dry I will do a few layers of oil.
